The train departs from the station once every hour, inviting you to embark on a relaxing 20 minute, five-mile loop adventure. Climbing aboard the Dollywood steam train is like taking a trip back in time to the 1900s. The passenger cars are designed to look just like the steam powered trains from back then, with brass fittings and wooden seats. The train also has authentic steam whistles and bells, adding to the experience!
Your journey of the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains begins with a whistle. You will go around the park and wave at everyone as you pass by. While you are riding and taking in all the beautiful scenery, you will hear some of the history of the train and Dollywood, and the whistle more than once.
