What’s it Like to Ride Dollywood’s Barnstormer? (Review)
As you walk through Owens Farm, you won’t miss the towering presence of Barnstormer. This huge swing ride stands at an astounding 81 feet. The entrance to the Barnstormer is to the side of the big, red barn. This ride has two pendulum arms, each of them accommodates 16 passengers seated back to back. Once its your turn to board and take a seat, you’ll find yourself secured by a lap bar. After everyone is checked for safety, you are off!.
The Barnstormer experience is a roller coaster of emotions. The Rotations that push you 230 degrees with every twist and turn will have you screaming either in terror or joy. As you go up, you’ll find yourself staring at the sky with your feet dangling above your head. But in a matter of seconds, you’re plummeting back to earth, in a freefall that feels thrilling and terrifying at the same time.
How Intense is Dollywood’s Barnstormer?
If you want an intense ride that challenges your limits, Barnstormer is for you. If you’re scared of heights, if the thought of fast rotations makes you queasy, or if you have motion sickness, you should skip this ride.
