Tucked away in Pigeon Forge’s popular Theme Park, Dollywood there’s a gem that’s normally overlooked by those in search of high speed adventures, The Village Carousel. A timeless classic attraction that takes visitors of all ages back in time to enjoy a ride filled with nostalgia, charm and enchanting melodies.

What’s it Like to Ride Dollywood’s Village Carousel? (Review)

You can find The Village Carousel in The Village area of Dollywood, right in front of The Dollywood Express. The carousel itself is a work of art. As you walk up to the ride, you can see all the different animals the carousel has. 60 in total!.

Once its your turn to board, you can quickly choose which animals you want to ride on. Remember that the animals go up and down during the ride. If you want a stationary seat (ones that don’t move up and down), they have those available too. The first time my son rode the carousel he was little and got overwhelmed by the animals moving up and down, so we chose a stationary seat the next time, and he had a blast!. After you choose your animal or seat, put your safety belt on and everyone is checked, the ride can start!.

The Carousel slowly starts spinning to classic carousel music, and your animal will start moving too. The Bulb lights cast a warm glow, and kiddos can look at themselves in the mirrors and make silly faces while they ride.

It really is a timeless classic that everyone in your group will enjoy.
